Very crafty. There's all sorts of ways cities can gum up the works against the ICE concentration camps.

Today's #photooftheday is one of those images that, when I look at it, it always conjures up the accompanying audio. This burly chap was cawing his heart out when I snapped him.He was so intent on his song that he let me get almost within touching distance. #birdphotography #photography

So far this year, I have bought a new van, filed taxes, planted two new trees, had a full week of hives, attended one wedding, turned 40 years old... and lost my amazing, one-of-a-kind retired service dog 4 months before her 16th birthday.

2026 has already been one hell of a year.

Someone has sure already made this observation but the fact they can convert all those empty warehouses into prison camps means they could have converted them into housing, community centers, job training centers or, hell, libraries or schools all along. It’s always a matter of will not resources.

I was feeling pretty positive about having 4 guys in my house, ages 14-50 something, until the 14 year old announced he was 'going to spend the next 18 years in the bathroom'.

But, hey, at least he asked where the air freshener is? Family is weird

Tysm! I'm already pretty excited about it, honestly. Doc wasn't optimistic about it helping runny nose, but prescribed it for the chronic hives. Both were nowhere to be found in the hour after the shot. Looking forward to seeing how the next few months progress!

First injection of #Xolair today (VERY excited for treatment options) and it cleared some of my brain fog within minutes. Allergist definitely thinks the chronic #hives are related to the #Hashimoto's diagnosis, which I wouldn't have considered, but makes sense with the brain fog component.

Had a nurse today ask me what my hearing aids are for.

To my credit, I did manage to not answer sarcastically, but that took some doing on my part.

I think it would be funny if there was a way to see everyone's score on how many people thought we were ignoring them when we couldn't hear them.

Obviously, Deaf folks would sweep those numbers, but I think I'd have be mid to high on there.

It's gotta be weird to people learning English that "bun" like the hamburger bun and "bunny" like a bunny rabbit sound so much alike.

If it wasn't my first language, I would think "bunny" was an affectionate form of "bun" and that sounds even crazier.

Times are very tough, and neighbors are our most immediate in-person community. Barter, trade and share, you never know what resources are at your disposal until you network like that.

We've found bags of potatoes on our front step that have lasted us months. We can do this.

If you have the ability, make friends with your neighbors.

One neighbor family, who does not share our politics, regularly brings us groceries and meals they have extra of.

Another, this morning, gave us caramel apples she makes, and a third gives us peaches and pecans from her trees.

I got prescribed antibiotics for a dental infection this week, and thought that must mean I'll feel better soon.

Two days in, I Google and find out that "extreme tiredness" is a side effect of amoxicillin, and it's not just in my head that I'm feeling worse. #FML

Respondents emphasize that Abrego Garcia was improperly removed to El Sal-
vador because, although he could be removed anywhere else in the world under a
2019 order of removal, that order granted statutory withholding of removal to El Sal-
vador alone. But, while the United States concedes that removal to El Salvador was
an administrative error, see App., infra, 60a, that does not license district courts to
seize control over foreign relations, treat the Executive Branch as a subordinate dip-
lomat, and demand that the United States let a member of a foreign terrorist organ-
ization into America tonight. For starters, because MS-13 members such as Abrego
Garcia have since been designated members of a foreign terrorist organization, they
are no longer eligible for withholding of removal under 8 U.S.C. 1231(b)(3)(B). Fur-
ther, the United States has ensured that aliens removed to CECOT in El Salvador
will not be tortured, and it would not have removed any alien to El Salvador for such
detention if doing so would violate its obligations under the Convention Against Tor-
ture. Moreover, respondents treat the relief here as β€œroutine,” Resp. C.A. Stay
Opp. 1, but that relief goes far beyond merely facilitating an alien’s return, which is
what courts have ordered in other cases. This orderβ€”and its demand to accomplish
sensitive foreign negotiations post-haste, and effectuate Abrego Garcia’s return to-
nightβ€”is unprecedented and indefensible.

If the Supreme Court decides that the government can "erroneously" disappear you off the street to a foreign torture prison, and that federal courts have no power to do anything about it, that is, in a meaningful way, Pretty Much It www.supremecourt.gov/DocketPDF/24...

Who benefits from an economic crisis? Trump does. He declares an economic emergencyβ€”then manufactures oneβ€”which allows him to expand his power. Under the National Emergencies Act (NEA), the president can unlock more than 120 special statutory powers. No wonder he was just out golfingβ€”crisis pays.
