Oh, I would VERY much like a follow up on this hypothesis at some point! I also lucid dream, have wildly vivid non-lucid dreams and an (often over)active imagination, but I’ve also got relatively intense aphantasia and would love to know what it’s like to visualize things.

Additional Things You May Not Have Thought Of! >Wait…does this make my game union? Yes! The Game Jam Waiver is technically an Interim contract and attached to the Tiered Budget Agreement. That being said, the waiver does not activate union eligibility (will not make an actor SAG-AFTRA-Eligible/SAG-E) and will not contribute anything toward health coverage or pension for existing members of the union. Basically: both union and nonunion actors can work on your game! Together! With very little paperwork required! (This also means that folks in SAG-AFTRA who've never had the opportunity to work on jam games can now do so!) >Why can't I just use the NAVA AI Rider? The shortest possible answer is "Because there's no [guaranteed] enforceability." The NAVA AI Rider is essentially a handshake between developers and their actors going "We won't do anything untoward!" whilst saddling the actor with the logistical and (significant) financial burden of pursuing recourse should something go sideways. With the Game Jam Waiver, both the developer and your actors are given the access to SAG-AFTRA's $1mil legal department. >Can I promote/stream the game once it's out? Yes, absolutely! Like all games on the Tiered Budget Agreement, games on the Game Jam Waiver are completely strike-compliant and can be promoted, streamed, and otherwise yelled about by every single person involved in production. >Who do I contact if I have more questions about the waiver? Two major points of contact are Zeke (primary author of the Game Jam Waiver, Tiered Budget Agreement/I-IMA, multiple versions of the Interactive Media Agreement/IMA and Interactive Localization Agreement/ILA, and the NAVA AI Rider) and Jett (contributor to the Game Jam Waiver, author of this FAQ, and general fiend for jam games). You are welcome to email either or both; please note that Zeke wears many hats in terms of union committees he volunteers with, so his message turnaround time can be slightly variable.
