Given how well S1 turned out for live action One Piece, I'm really feelin' this latest teaser for S2. I will always recommend the manga to anyone looking to get into the larger series, but the live action has proven a suitable "gateway." I'm especially looking forward to Miss All Sunday—my favorite.

The full version remains on my radar. That said, it's not a priority purchase for me. It can wait till I'm further along in my personal library. I'm excited to witness its success; it feels like another winner from Yacht Club Games.

Don't wanna take immediate advantage of any "easy" settings, though I may later on. Manual explains some of them are only able to be set initially. I'm not so enthusiastic about games which have consequences for death, though it's not a deal breaker and certainly better than losing items outright.

I read the manual before anything. I'm captive to this game's music, art direction. In terms of game-play, it's fun; using the burrowing mechanic in conjunction w/ platforming is easy to grasp, though I could see myself unable to keep up w/ future spikes in combat difficulty.

*I cheated by including Mass Effect Legendary Edition, which contains the complete trilogy. It's the version I played. I avoided doing the same thing for Metroid Prime Trilogy (Wii), though I wanted to. If I were to pick one, reluctantly I'd choose ME2.

Several folks I know have shared on Discord their "top 25" games. I gave it a go. To prevent any franchise from dominating, I've limited myself to one (1) per series*. These are not in order. Less of a "top 25," more so games which have left an impression. Many, MANY omissions. Gets hard to choose!

I've expressed a little disappointment in the handling of "vampires" in S2 of The X-Files, but I feel better now. The episode "Bad Blood" made me laugh. For me, there's something about this series when it plays into its comedy. I might wrap the season today. Depends on whether I nap.

I'd be willing to see Neeson in this role again, for what it's worth, though I think there needs to be a little more "Yes, and..." from bystanders. It's inconsequential, but this is a heads up the movie does feature a post-credits scene. Doesn't matter which movie, I'm a bit worn out by the concept.

Last weekend, I took my mom to go see The Naked Gun (2025). We both love the late Leslie Nielsen's work. This version with Liam Neeson and Pamela Anderson I think invokes the spirit of the original(s) well enough. Mom came out of it thinking it's fine. I like its humor still contains some subtlety.

That said, if Metaphor: ReFantazio were to be announced later this year, I'd hold out for that. My backlog remains my priority with only a few exceptions, so it's not as though I'd be on it day-one anyway.

Of course Persona 3 Reload is announced for NSW2 less than a week after I've bitten on a Steam sale, ha. As tempting as it is to refund it, I don't play in handheld mode often enough to pay full price on NSW2. The add'l cost of Episode Aigis also plays into consideration.

Thanks for your attention given to the first post! Here are a few more practice runs from last night on Mario Paint (via SNES - Nintendo Classics). Once more, I used the Joy-Con 2 controller on its side.

Mario Paint got added to SNES - Nintendo Classics today. This is my first time playing it. Here are a couple test drawings done using the Joy-Con 2 controller as a mouse. Learning about this program as I go. Would be funny to start making actual pieces with this.

I've rolled credits tonight on 🍌 Donkey Kong Bananza! That's the main story done with post-game still to do. I'm satisfied by its finale.

I may have already watched KPop Demon Hunters a second time. That friend I'd mentioned before—I roped her into this viewing. She wouldn't have picked it out on her own, she said, but she ended up loving it. Hehe. This movie's fun to revisit.

(I won't be getting to this yet. I'm currently balancing The X-Files with a certain game about an ape.)

I'd been holding out for a Switch 2 version of P3R (as well as Metaphor), but while the sale was still active for 55% off, I went ahead and pulled the trigger (heh) on the Steam version. Trying not to buy TOO many new games before clearing my backlog, but this basically supplants P3P on the list.

I bought Persona 3 Portable last year due to my positive experiences playing P5R and P4G. I heard Kotone had funner dialogue, so I thought I'd play as her first. However, I've since learned her route may be best saved for replay and P3 Reload is the better overall experience for new players.

"Don't feed the trolls" was once a sacred text. They've already won if they can waste your time making you think you've wasted theirs.

As people we're allowed to express criticism, disappointment, or frustration where we feel safe online. Where it concerns rage and encountering rage bait, IMO, it's a more productive use of one's time to hop offline, scroll past, or—rather than argue—focus your (re)posts more on things you're into.

KPop Demon Hunters rules. I'd sat on watching it with hope my friend would watch it with me, but with doubts that it would be her thing, I went ahead with it personally. In concept it feels like I've seen this template; however, I'm big on its execution and general presentation. Its OST is on. ♫

Coming back to this to say I've just finished season three, included in which is "Jose Chung from Outer Space." Yeah, no, that might be a top five episode for me if only because Mulder's brief expressionless shout caught me so off guard. Fucking hilarious—I had to replay that scene a few times.

The ride's been fun! It holds up so far. If you reckon you're due to revisit The X-Files, I say join me! It should be on Disney+ in your region.
I think one of my favorite aspects is Mulder's sarcastic quips. I hear the series's lore gets particularly good around the point I'm at.

When I consider The X-Files has 11 seasons, my thought is I should pace myself—take a break every season to do something else and come back to it. The show has its hooks in me, however. I need ANSWERS. Progress: I last watched S3 E2.

Yeah! Instead of black and white, it's brown and white. It was very cute! A volunteer in the audience got to hold onto it till presentation's end.

Oh, yeah, I don't suppose I'd be any better! Guitar Hero was more my lane then. As we get older, the more apparent it is that having fun is the point—caring less how it looks. Here's to finding a machine or dance mat one day and causing concern. 😎

I got to attend an event this morning at our public library, presented by a zoo. I got to see and touch: bunnies, a bearded dragon, ferrets, fennec fox, chocolate skunk, opossum, raccoon, a joey, and an albino Burmese python. I came alone and felt like the character Billy Madison amongst these kids.
