There are philosophers working in AI Ethics like Carissa Véliz and Signal's president, Meredith Whittaker (see interview in Wired) who emphasise the connection between AI and SC.

I imagine this connection will become more widely recognised over time as data abuses are discovered along the way.

It's an important read as it tries to thoroughly conceptualise SC, much like Hannah Arendt did for totalitarianism. I liked how she traced the development from Skinner, through Beh. Econ. and Nudging to SC.

Had the book been written in 2024, it would probably include specific chapters on AI.
