Dayton native here-I’ve been anxious to read this since I heard about it. I just got my copy yesterday and started this afternoon. Your writing and depiction of your hometown is captivating.

The turnout for the rallies yesterday was amazing but we can't stop there. With all the gerrymandering and attacks on voting rights, we have to turn out in overwhelming numbers at the polls in 2028. Our next goal is we have to reach out to non voters. We need voter registration drives.

I used to get them sometimes in the basement of my old house. 1st time I saw one I squished. It made the whole basement reek-you could even smell it at the top of the stairs.

If you ever squished one, you’d know where they get their name.
