These bonnet mushrooms have a light purple translucent stem and purple caps with the tip being the deepest shade and gradually becoming lighter until it's almost a light pink. Growing out of a brilliantly green mossy covered log. This adorable pair of mushrooms appeared as though the taller is sheltering the smaller from the perils of the forest. Which is clearly very dangerous as you can see the taller is suffering under crushing weight that massive pine needle. Poor buddy.

These bonnet fungi were caught at varying stages of development. The foreground had a light yellow stem that goes from almost translucent light yellow to an orange-yellow. The cap is a light brown yellow with darker coloration where the gills are located. The background mushrooms cap has yet to fully unfurl into its majestic glory....Tomorrow.

I love this style of bonnet mushroom. The way it curves down and up out of the way of the moss so they can get their spores out there on the breeze.

This tiny lichen caught my eye. I need to learn more about these fascinating symbiotic organisms.

I spy some bonnets! Found today at the Capital State Forest. Also a bonus lichen!

I want drama and action but I'm also going for a more dystopian feel. A lot of my inspiration comes from Fantasy and Syfy. A big inspiration for me was Elden ring.

Is it better to create a world and then decay/destroy it before the start of a story or is it better to destroy it in the story
