The agreement comes with a 20 percent wage increase, equal to around a $7 wage bump for production workers, over the four-year contract. The cost-of-living adjustment is 45 cents per hour on top of the base wage, depending on inflation. @lfelizleon.bsky.social reports labornotes.org/2026/02/majo...

(5/6) MYTH 4: Union dues are too expensive. I'm already being overworked and underpaid!"
FACT: Dues are on a sliding scale, based on your income!
You can pay as low as $10/month, or as high as you want to go. Your dues pay for resources, training, swag, professional staff, and more. Money = power πΈ
(4/6) MYTH 3: "Being in a union is a time-suck. I'm already busy!"
FACT: Organizing isn't all-or-nothing!
You can be as involved as you want to be! If you have 3hrs/month, you can join a committee. If you have 1hr/month, you can talk to a coworker. If you have no time, you can simply pay dues.
(3/6) MYTH 2: "Collective bargaining is illegal in AZ, so joining is a waste of time."
FACT: Collective bargaining (a contract) is not the only tool in the toolbox!
While current state laws say that union members in AZ canβt collectively bargain, we can still organize through collective action!
(2/6) MYTH 1: "Unions are illegal in Arizona, I'll get fired for joining!"
FACT: Unions aren't illegal!
Your right to belong and be active in a union or employees association is protected by state (AZ 12.1341) and federal law as well as the Arizona Board of Regents (6-906) policies.

Blue-tinted portrait of civil rights activist and labor leader A. Philip Randolph with his quote: "Justice is never given; it is extacted, and the struggle must be continuous for freedom is never a final fact, but a continuing evolving process to higher and higher levels of human, social, economic, political, and religious relationship."
Acknowledged as the greatest Black labor leader in American history, A. Philip Randolph founded the Brotherhood of Sleeping Car Porters and was a pioneer in advancing racial equality within the labor movement. #BlackHistoryMonth
