Life looks different on Monday mornings. Perception is wild.

I would never have imagined that the following would be a controversial statement:

This is Gus. He was 11 years old and passed yesterday. He was the best dog I’ve ever known. Happy. Smart. A beautiful soul. I will miss him terribly.

As a young man, with little exposure to how girls felt or thought, I did not appreciate Cindy Lauper.

As an old guy with a lifetime of experience and, more importantly, four daughters, I love Cindy Lauper!

Generations of world inhabitants grew up believing in the ideals and opportunities of the United States. Gone so quickly it had to be the Plan.

I was fortunate to actually see Pope Francis from a great distance in 2017. He inspired in me an indescribable feeling of reverence and holiness. The exuberant crowd was really something.

My philosophy and ideology were shaped by my Jesuit education at Canisius College (now University). Pope Francis confirmed those ideals for me as an adult. He made sense to me. He was MY Pope. He charted the path for the Roman Catholic I am and I try to be. I will truly miss him.

Happy Easter. May we all live in the peace, understanding, charity and compassion of the man honored today by Christians around the world.

Never forget, Gary Gergerch won the Game of Life. Lived to 100. Hot wife. Great kids, grandkids and great grandkids. Peaceful home life. And the biggest penis the doctor had ever seen.

I have long opined that Trump supporters wanted to burn the system down. These people are limited thinkers that do not realize that the system ensures the stability upon which they depend. As Trump burns the system down in this second term, the supporters will be increasingly shocked by the results.

Neil Peart was so effing good.

If the Left wants gun control, it needs to recommend that all of its members buy a 10 or more semiautomatic rifles, especially all of the women, gay and trans folks. We’ll have restrictions real quick.

If you aim at nothing, you hit nothing.

I voted for the smart black woman.

All this chaos and the damage our Nation is suffering isn’t my fault.

I feel like an angel baby swaddled in a cocoon of cloud candy.

If China decides to sell our debt, and I believe it will when it best suits China’s interests, the market will tank again. If it invades Taiwan, and I believe that is inevitable, the market will tank again. China may not have a ton of economic leverage over us but it has some.

Make no mistake, China is hostile to us in a very real way. So is Russia. A Trade War with China has many risks, including a hot war down the road. Trump’s recent tactics ensure that China will have many new allies and we will have far fewer.

Trans people

There is a quality that a person has or doesn’t have that inspires confidence from others. It’s not a quality that is universally appreciated but a majority of people respond positively to this quality. It’s charisma that commands respect and trust.
