Caught an absolutely pristine 35mm print of SCANNERS last night at the Cinémathèque québécoise (from their collection). Not a single scratch on it! I also REALLY love Howard Shore’s score for this film!

Oh no! I’m so sorry to hear that. I believe I saw the Seattle International Film Festival searching for a marketing person but I know that’s the wrong side of the country. Could be remote?

Movies are self care, so you could prioritize it that way. I wouldn’t consider it unnecessary spending in that regard, especially if you skip giving AMC (or whoever) money for snacks, drinks, etc.

I would say try to see it at an indie theatre if possible?

A whirlwind day of writing program copy for Boston Underground #25, grading student work, and coordinating a short film shoot in two weeks. I’m oddly fueled by some terrible insomnia of late.
