yeah, In a lot of Nike ads the players don't even have to say anything about the brand. They're "associated" with the product as they're seen playing with the attire on. Lebron being a more central part of their line up, it makes sense for him to be a main character and have lines.

This is a good point. Old Spice has always reinforced gender stereotypes to sell their product. Their main demographic is men, but interestingly, theyve started targeting women as well to try to sell them soap for their partners. So that they can smell like a "real man"

This ad is a perfect example of "snob appeal" and "association principal". Derek Jeter, a famous baseball player, cannot fly home on his private jet because of bad weather. The solution, he drives a Cadillac Wagoneer. You wanna be classy like him? Buy the car #Media180SP25W

I agree. I think that, similarly to television, Ai is going to alter society a lot, but we will adapt to the new changes just as we always have. Whether those societal changes are going to be good or bad is the real question

This is a super good point, AI does use tons of electricty, which usually comes from fossil fuel power plants. It also uses a lot of water to cool all the data centers. Mining the raw materials needed for making the GPUs are also bad for the environment

The impacts the internet has had on society are different than anyone could've imagined. The Internet made it harder to discern what is real with photoshop etc, and AI is pushing that further. Like the hype and fear of the internet, AI is going to become a tool. Not take over the wrld #Media180SP25W
