今後の黒人思想・文化研究の基盤になる一冊だとも思います。音楽史や映画史だけでなく、未邦訳の有名な著作もかなり多く紹介されていて、この辺から翻訳紹介していくだけでも日本における黒人文化研究は十分目覚ましい発展を遂げていくのではないでしょうか。

He turns old black&white images in colonial postcards into colourful paintings and the medium is none other than sugar. There is an amazing decolonial philosophy behind his art.

The presentation based on this chapter was really interesting. Didn’t know about the first emergency medical response team was formed by Black volunteers.
One of the things that first drew me to Japan was its philosophy: growing out of myths, rituals and an awareness of impermanence, and worked into everyday life & art.

I am shocked how geographically close west Africa is to Europe (compared to my usual flight pattern from Europe to Tokyo). 4 hrs and 40 minutes is nothing. We can’t even reach half way at airports in the Middle East…
