Lots of “Oh no, Dan Burn at LB” posts. Genuinely curious who we’d rather play there when Hall isn’t available. Alex Murphy?
FBs needed in January for sure but for now, it is what it is. Also, it’s Burnley ffs.

You can mainly find me walking by the coast in North East England. Long time Toon sufferer #NUFC

Huge respect to the papers for finding both an 88 year old worried about the tax bill on her 6 bedroom Kensington house and a 20 year old fretting about only being able to save £12k a year tax free.
Top work all around. These are not easy case studies to find.
Which one is more English?

I'm not sure I follow Slot's argument here. He's saying that Isak isn't fit at the moment because he didn't train properly pre-season, but they told the Swedish national team about 3 weeks ago that he was fit enough to play 2 games in 4 days. Can both statements be true?

Brilliant - from Private Eye Magazine.

Are we really to believe that Nathan Gill, who spouted the same lies, is the only Russian asset in Reform UK.
That's some finish! High risk but he took it brilliantly, there's no way a keeper is going to save that

I go. I try. And I will keep trying, even though it feels like a losing battle. Because I remember the whole point of the far-right astroturfing of social media is to make it feel like a losing battle, to make us give up.
Anyway, a few snippets on small boat crossings and immigration.
This story from Douglas Adams has been going around for years but it remains one of my favourites.

Youth unemployment, 1981 by Tish Murtha. She was an extraordinary photographer from South Shields who used her talent to document marginalised communities in the North East. This photo has a post-apocalyptic feel to it.
