How well did the Mets do?

Especially since the team with the biggest payroll didn't even make the playoffs.

Of course that's assuming you count the Mets as a team...

Well no, Gatsby wasn't an "invention", he was a reference to the lifestyle Fitzgerald saw around him.

Two things:

One, these are not single issue voters.

Two, the idea that the GOP is singlehandedly killing SNAP is absurd. Democrats could end their filibuster today and bring it back.

Yes. Which has nothing to do with ICE assaulting people.

Fine, since your were 23.

They've been complaining about this stuff probably since before you were born.

If you think it's surprising that a Hispanic person would be anti immigration, you don't know many Hispanic people.

31.10.2025 01:14 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

They have been making this point for decades. If you are surprised you absolutely do not know who they are.

31.10.2025 00:33 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

I repeat, if you think it's surprising that they don't support ICE beating up people, you need to get your radar recalibrated.

(unfortunately they forgot the Pita chips).

But what if they give me a Cava bag with money in it?

Again, if this surprises you, you don't know what the Cato Institute is.

30.10.2025 23:50 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

Meaning there is nothing surprising about the fact that they wrote this.

Trump will be gone in just over 3 years. After that, the GOP will dramatically change.

You clearly don't know what the Cato Institute is.

There's a Right To Record ICE Raids--and There's No Blanket Immunity for Raiders Notwithstanding pronouncements from leading officials of the Trump administration, the consensus of federal courts is that the Constitution protects the right to record immigration raids, and federal ...

If ICE agents believe they have blanket immunity or that citizens have no right to record them, it’s up to the rest of us to disabuse them of that error.

A free society depends on public oversight of government force, and on courts that uphold that freedom. @walterolson.bsky.social

Also you are conflating approval of Trump with being conservative. Trump's approval didn't drop because people are becoming more liberal, it dropped because he's done stupid things.

That "under 30" isn't everyone under 30, they have a lower cutoff at 18. The ranges are close at the top end, but further out at the low end. And it's those younger people where the danger is.

It's a smaller sample so it's not that reliable, but there is reason to worry that there was a shift caused by the events 5 years ago.

That's not really the demographic he is talking about though. The oldest kids who were in school during 2020 are only 23 now. And there is evidence that people of that age are more conservative.

It's more the result of that particular governor injecting himself into national politics because he wants to run for president in a few years.

As someone who works in tech I can tell you that yes, people were talking about H1-Bs 5 years ago.

All this supports my argument. I'm sorry you are in denial.

If you finish a race 12% faster than the next guy that's a blowout.

29.10.2025 16:18 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

This is a large enough sample to find a statistically significant difference. It is you with the reading issue.

29.10.2025 16:17 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

No, it's very meaningful.

"Achievable"? That's nonsense. Your height does not generally change after puberty. Transwomen fall into the same height population as men, a normal distribution with a mean around 5'9 and a standard deviation of 3 inches. That's a significant advantage over women.

29.10.2025 16:16 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

But there is a performance difference.

No that's after 2 years.
