Fun concept! I feel like it totally could be used today, were it not for the fact that it looks like a credit risk, and banks would raise interest rates as a result. I think the closest we get is investing in stocks over paying off a mortgage, since returns hopefully outpace interest.

Also, I bought judge foil Sneak Attack and Wheel a decade ago and I long to use them again…

I’ve still got the Wakestone Gargoyles in my list, so maybe I remove that. Or maybe one of the zillions of sweepers I’m using…since you’re hardly ever playing those on-curve, it’s not throwing the rhythm off too much to replace one with an 8-drop.

It’s here! As someone who started playing in Revised, with a break between Exodus and New Phyrexia, I really appreciated hearing how IMPENETRABLE learning can be if you’ve never played.

Arena isn’t always the greatest on-road; an in-person, sympathetic play group really helps with The Gathering.

The biggest missing feature, to me, is keeping track of where you stopped browsing and then PUTTING YOU THERE when you open the app. I loathe having to scroll down over hundreds of posts trying to find where I left off. It’s chronological for a reason, for goodness sake.

Fantastic episode! So many cards I’d totally forgotten about! Point on Retribution of the Meek: The effect still shows up in cards; it’s mostly worked around by killing power 3 or greater instead. I mean, aren’t you using Battle of Bywater in your Cadira deck? (Also Dusk // Dawn rules.)

Made the two-hour trek up to Maniwaki to catch a stage of the Rallye Perce-Neige. Freezing as heck, would recommend very thick socks, but would absolutely do it again.

@muddstah.bsky.social I’m such a doofus! I was the guy on Saturday morning who said my fave creature was Psychosis Crawler. Which, yes, accurate because I have (had?) a Nekusar deck, but I also use it as a wincon in my Grothama deck for the Extra Spicy Victory. Thanks so much for the fun chats.

Update: it turned into $801 in store credit, so I guess I need to figure out a new Commander deck to put together. Can hopefully both finish Doran and buy a whole new one!
