That sort of thing wound me up endlessly when I was a journalist. The worst ones though would be a competitive publication ringing up to confirm the story β which was factual, of course β then running "Publication can confirm that..." and not crediting us at all.

Shame on Doug Ford and all his caucus for being on βTeam Dead Childβ - for trying to cross the road in front of their school.
(Yes I know they are shameless ghouls.)
But shit - we are talking about the safety of young children, folks. #Ontario School zones. Itβs grotesque.

Ford is making a change to the law, that will result in additional deaths and injuries. Does Ford have any evidence that his alternative is better than the photo radar? If not, would the same legal logic that killed the bike lane removals apply?

The same street in 1993 and today, there is car parking down one side of the street in 1993, today a typical narrow Amsterdam street with no car parking on it. Children cycle on the road
Runstraat, Amsterdam in 1993 and today. Seems almost impossible there used to be car parking when you're walking down these busy, narrow streets!

Why on earth would a retailer with razor thin margins take the risk on holding stock worth that much that they donβt know if theyβll sell? Not to mention, an ex demo is often sold at a loss anyway.
Trek should have had one or two in the country retailers could book out for a demo.

Car headlights to be reviewed after drivers complain of being 'blinded' at night
Concern over the glare from brighter headlamps is prompting the government to review vehicle design.
I wonder what is in the DfT's assessment of the causes π Feels like another reason to do something about the troubling and dangerous increase in car bonnet height. Chances are big SUVs won't be mentioned at all #elephantintheroom #carspreading www.bbc.com/news/article...

They're mentioned briefly in the article, but you're absolutely right that if the DFT don't acknowledge bonnet height is a critical factor, it's going to be a whitewash of a report.
