The message has some misspellings and reads: "I am thankful for all the books that you have provided for us! You have amazing books that we love to read. The librarians are so nice and that's why we are so grateful. Best librarians ever! We love books! Thank you!"

Thank you for all the nice furniture and movies too. Thank you for helping us find books, giving us wonderful suggestions, and the video from the computers." Behind the card, other cards are fanned out; the one immediately behind the open card has a heart and says "Thank you librarians."

A card written by a child reads: "Dear Librarians, Thank you librarians for giving us books and reading us stories. We appreciate all of the work you do for little kids like us. Especially when you are on your feet all day." Above the message are collaged decorations that read, "Love you!" and "Great job!"

We recently got a pleasant surprise in the mail! After learning about Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s commitment to service and community, the students at Whitehills Elementary decided to practice their own commitment to their community, and sent a big packet of thank you notes to the library! #LibSky

Last Friday, we were able to drop off 339 lbs of food and other household essentials to the Greater Lansing Food Bank!! Thank you to everyone who contributed to our food drive! We put out a call to help our neighbors during difficult times, and y’all really showed up. #LibSky #LibraryLove
