fast forward a while. bido lays eggs. they hatch into normal regular lizards. it was parthenogenesis the whole time
so they both have to go through the stages of grief trying to figure out what to do. because bido would very much like to have kids with his favorite guy but it just Would not be a practical decision, and greed is torn between "Scared" and "Fuck Scared, We Want This So We Should Have It"

Like on the one hand you have the obvious "homunculi cant have bio kids" plot point. and then the fact that greed realistically Cannot have any positive associations with the concept of parenthood
