Roof colour is only one factor to consider. The roof pitch, insulation and materials used are all factors that impact the heat and energy efficiency of a roof.

Single storey vs double storey is yet another factor.

Solar panels are black …what’s more important is good insulation and planting dozens of trees

There’s an outer suburb of Sydney called Menangle and a new housing estate runs along the Hume Hwy. Every roof is a shade of white and if you can get past the glare, it’s an absolute eyesore
