Meanwhile, Glimmer had begun her own assault, swiftly jumping over one of the two assassins who'd given their attention to her. However, as her blade came down to strike against the assassin's back, her comrade's blade swiftly intercepted glimmers own~

~Ceiling, making their way above James and preparing a strike.

James was immediately on guard when Glimmer mentioned an ambush, fully coating himself in his armor as a safe measure.

"Hey, you got eyes? I'm flying blind here."

The assassin's primary target was James, but they had been cleared to take down other heroes and villains as collateral. So they would split off into two groups of two, one set slowly approaching Glimmer and drawing their blades. The other set moving to the hanging lights that hung from the Lair's~

~within the darkness and shadows of the lair, four assassins were hidden waiting for their opportunity to attack.

"Whats up? I don't like that look..."

Suddenly, what little light remained within the lair went dark.

"Oh, lovely."

"Yeah, well, that's going to be harder for me than you'd think. I don't have much /respect/ for the hero types."

James slowed slightly as he noticed her squinting, as if trying to spot something off in the distance.

It was a good thing she had a keen eye, as James hadn't noticed it yet. ~

~ So, with a slight growl, he would mumble under his breath.

"You have got to be fucking kidding me, just my luck..."

Afterwords he'd raise his voice to an audible level. Unaware, the other likely heard what he'd mumbled.

"I'm gonna give you a chance to walk away."

James had just managed to use his powers to rip off the vault door that kept the main armory sealed, gently placing it against the hallway wall as the hybrid approached. James only took notice of the other when he finally spoke, causing James to turn around and scoff as his gaze met the heroes own.~
