Personally, as someone who grew up doing fanfiction, TTRPGs, and my own stories all at once, I use the term "OC" to describe my own characters in an established or published story. So basically, fanfiction & fandom spaces only. Anything else is just "my characters." 🤷‍♀️

My paternal family is from the south, Grandpa chose to live in MI. He was proud of his southern heritage. He used to have a Confederate flag in his lawn & most importantly, he chose to name my Dad after Robert E Lee, despite NO relation.

I don't go on Twitter much anymore but you're absolutely right. I will say, it's a little entertaining to see people reply with "@grok is this true?" under every Trump Does Predictably Bad Shit news story.

Honestly, it's saved me from putting money in games that people end up dropping quickly or getting disappointed with lol. When I'm into a game, I'm INTO it, so it's just better for my heart to wait to make sure the game will have lasting impact.

You're right. Idk the full science, but it's starting to seem like segregation in sports bc "women are weaker" is just an excuse to placate us when the real reason is, "men hate losing to women."

It all ends up coming back to misogyny, and trans folks buck that status quo.
Trans support is support for cis women. I'll keep trying to get my fellow cis women to support trans folks. 😊
