Reminds me of @mburnsmath.bsky.social who said the best you can give yourself is to stop and listen to your students.

Whoever your version of “god” is, I think this anecdote probably hits:

In a Kinder morning meeting a teacher asked if students would prefer to speak every language or be able to play every instrument.

One child chose languages. When asked, Why? The student said, “because then I could talk to God.”

Mine’s the opposite… I left Atlanta at 10pm and got home at 11am. I was flying east. 5 hour time difference.
