I went there around xmas and I think it’s very cute ! It’s also one of the oldest xmas markets in germany so it was cute visiting back then hahah they do have a lot of interesting porcelain history there in my opinion : - ) !

Knight in the Woods is an 18+ WLW comic written by me and the artist Gnocchi! Fallen angels, fantasy knights and a dark romance vibe that'll have you hooked!

I will be deleting these later bc while it’s not much at all I can’t help but get a little shy talking about these things as I’m not used to it 🫡

Dresden also have this cute milk shop which is the oldest one in the world (Dresdner Molkerei Gebrüder Pfund) it was also an inspo for adding a bunch of tiles for the fool comic so I’m very happy that I got to visit it after I finished the comic 😭

Anyway I visited the Baroque treasury in Dresden last year which is were I got the facts from (I’m not the best at formulating my words so please look it up yourself 😔) . It wasn’t allowed to take pics in the place due to strong restrictions but it looked like this

This was also called the work of alchemists as well bc they turned ‘nothing’ into ‘gold’ …. v fun in terms of world building for comics and stuff 😌

Rich european ppl really fancied porcelian from China and Japan for example and wanted to make something similar themselves and so you get Meissen and Dresden version of porcelain that’s pretty famous in Germany.

It was less about colour theory and more about chemical reaction. Anyway things like this were made by ‘alchemists’ bc the majority of people didn’t know better about how these things works and were probably quite fascinated by the process.

An interesting thing is that red glass vases were considered really luxurious bc you had to mix gold in the process to get the colour

I’m sad that the local shoemaker closed down because I was going to ask if they could add high heels to my old boots 😭

I remember in one of my first workshops I brought with me like 30kg of art books to the 3 kids who signed up to my class hahaha
