Clara from Skies of Arcadia uses a mirror to aim backwards at an offscreen target, presumably, likely and hopefully non-live targets like cans or bottles.

"Calamity Clara" does some backwards sharpshooting on her off-time, thankfully with cans and bottles.

There is a closer body shot in some magazine article I have of Enrique but I would have to dig through a ton of articles to find

From the Official Dreamcast Magazine (US) #1, has some early screenshots of Skies of Arcadia, announced as Project Ares at the Sega New Challenge Conference '99. Vyse can be seen with white pants in a few screenshots, which aligns with some interviews and early concept art.

The reason I find that interesting is because I wouldn't assume Japan would want to portray even a fictionalized version of their culture combined with China. Although to me, the Tenkou feel more inspired by China and Yafutoma more inspired by Japan.

From DC-UK #10, a 2 page preview of Eternal Arcadia from Tokyo Game Show 2000 Spring, with an interview with Rieko Kodama and Yosuke Okunari. What I myself find interesting is a reason why Yafutoma is inspired by both Japan and China is because the West tends to mix these two up.

In an article from Dreamcast Magazine Vol.37, someone asks the Skies of Arcadia developers about what age do people get married in the world. Generally, the answer is that most sailors generally don't get married, and those who do are strong willed. People live and love freely, outside of marriage.
