It's really the judges'/producers' fault. If they keep rewarding it why would she change. Shit on her for not taking any risks and she might actually change. But I wouldn't be surprised if we see contestants being less ambitious next series because that's what the show's rewarding.

I want 2014 to be in the top 2 but looking at 2001 + 2016 it doesn't deserve to be. But that game 7 and MadBum's run go a long way.

This is a really good point I didn't even consider. (Not that the Bluebook's new rule matters to me - like all lawyers, the only Bluebook rules I follow are the ones that governed when I was in law school.)

I take no pleasure in reporting that he's probably the worst part of the movie (more because that section is kinda hack-y than anything he does wrong himself)

What's crazy to me about using this anecdote is he said it at a Haitian festival. I agree I would expect the English pronunciation of Haiti in conversation but pronouncing it properly to an audience of Haitians is just called "politics."

Always appreciate this mask-off quote from a Las Vegas NIMBY opposing an apartment complex that would be aimed at people making $70k a year.

The rise in antisemitism is "material reality" for Jews. What I don't get is why you would think Mamdani would increase it or Cuomo would decrease it (other than bigotry).

Never could I have guessed that in a race to be mayor of NY two thirds of the candidates would spend all their time fighting over who can appeal more to *Republican* voters.

In my (unfortunately) personal experience, this is a mistake you make once. Which suggests she or her paralegal/legal secretary has never done this before.

Yes, this is different from the Sigal Chattah order, where there are career people in the USAO who can take over (and probably do a better job than if they had to direction from Chattah). There's no one to pick up the ball here.

Actually FSIA is unconstitutional to the extent it permits foreign governments to be mean to President Trump

I would genuinely love to see what causes of action they could dream up to sue over a public address by a former president

I don't think that undercuts his point. Video game companies have found a way to deliver much more content to you for less money. There are lots of things wrong with the industry but we can concede this basic fact.
