No ICE Air flight at MSP today (Wed, Feb 25).

We’ve had no flights three of the last four days, the first time that’s happened since Jan 1-4.

I think with ICE’s presence in MN declining we have reached the stage where we can look back and ask “Was anyone actually placed in danger by a decision to give the press access to what was happening, by me or anyone else?”

And the answer seems to be no.

Pushing the River Book Review Recently, I read Pushing the River by Frank Bures and enjoyed it thoroughly. The book documents the history of marathon racing on the Mississippi River, other stories from the region, some of the author's personal adventures and his brush with death on cold water. Overall, it was an entertaining read and well worth picking up for your winter reading. If you like adventure stories or canoeing and kayaking, you should pick up a copy of Pushing the River by Frank Bures. I enjoyed it, and here's my brief review.

Here’s my advice. Also, if you’re not comfortable or sure, just say no. That’s fine! The problem is people trying to promulgate codes of conduct under which NOBODY is allowed to interact with press. That’s counterproductive - in general, respectable mainstream outlets have a vital role to play.

So it’s another blackmail effort.

Minneapolis should press its momentum and demand not only withdrawal but start talking about the need for immediate reparations, loudly, with the total certainty that only winners have. "You have wronged us terribly and must pay recompense" and let them argue the second part.

Yes - until you see it firsthand, it’s hard to understand how upsetting and enraging it is to see these guys operate in your community. They are dressed for war, they beat civilians up, they openly antagonize neighbors, they’re masked, they carry people away. Everyone is livid at every scene.
