Stewed fish…tender and savoury with just a touch of salt and pepper to taste, as my Mother taught me to cook it. Food is such a link to our past. 🙏🏻

Fall is slowly moving in. The different shades of green are giving way to the fiery shades of brilliant reds here on our West coast, and muted yellows are taking over on our North coast. We do live in such a beautiful place.

Just look. This is how fortunate I am. I’m not there to mow, but my neighbour and his family make sure that, even though I’m not in residence, the house is taken care of. These people don’t owe me anything, but they step up. I am blessed. 🙏🏻

Parmesan chicken pasta bake. (Started out as spaghetti sauce…😜)!

If you have never tasted roasted garlic, do!!! It’s sweet and smooth and not at all harsh. Very different from raw garlic.

Bacon wrapped asparagus with Parmesan and bread crumbs. ✅

Start of the preserving season so we have delicious local vegetables like these beautiful tender greens.
