K-hive forever. If you don't loudly support Democrats, you are a fascist collaborator.

i badly wish people would learn history, the things historical figures actually did, rather than venerate misleading quotes fed to them by the market

Let me remind that in the run up to Iraq 2003, 'realist' scholars who opposed the war, some of whom had been regular oped contributors before, couldnt place in the NYT or WaPo at all, eventually paying to run an oped as an advertisement.

Ike was not a liberal and the most rw Democratic Party politican is vastly more liberal than Ike was.

So Claire Willett "vividly" remembers a falsehood about Congressional Democrats.

I think it's worth noting the specifics, given that even relatively shortly after 9/11, when the Iraq war authorization took place in 2002, it was actually *opposed* by a majority of Democrats who were in Congress.

It's, imo, more accurate to say a *majority* of *Congressional* Dems who voted *against* the Iraq war authorization, because it was overwhelmingly opposed by House Dems, and had only a slim majority in the Senate (which in 2002 included Lieberman, Bayh, Baucus, Hollings, Carnahan, & Landrieu)

If media spent half as much time doing their actual jobs as they spend trying to pick the next Democratic nominee, this country would be in a much better place.

I always thought the Pod Save America guys were mediocrities who - like a lot of mediocrities - clung to Obama's coattails, but now I think they're fucking idiots.

It’s genuine stupidity or, I dunno, a bizarre level of β€˜Guys Obsessed With Podcasts As The Only Form Of Media’ to somehow think β€œGo On All The Antisemitic Conspiracy Podcasts You Can” is somehow a net vote winner as opposed to teeing up opponents to drown you in paid media portraying you as a nut.

platner is trumpism all over again. And if you support him and me saying that offends you then you are proving it to me even more than I already knew it was true when I said it. He might not be successful but it's the same shit. Same exact shit.

This seems like a good time to remind voters that just 20 Republican senators could end this global nightmare today if they took their oaths seriously.

Stop blaming Democrats.

but there is no measure by which this is not appallingly racist and Platner being such an avowed FAN of someone who spouts bigoted slop like this that he was willing to sit down in the middle of a campaign for an interview & praise the guy & promote his channel is bananas.

I’m sorry, if Mills being old is a legitimate complaint you have, particularly one you have in the same breath as Platner being a neo nazi, you should be beaten with hammers because your stupidity is dangerous.

God forbid someone who knows wtf they’re doing do their job, right? Fuck you.

Some notes:
- Black women are leading the way with the biggest Dem advantage across every age group
- Black men are also showing huge Dem margins
- Dems lead in every single group of under age 30 voters, even white men
- GOPs don't have an advantage with any group <50

I made this monster of a chart to show the partisan split of the early/abs vote in the TX primary by age/race/gender.

You can see why Republicans must be worried about what they're seeing in the turnout data.

02.03.2026 01:19 β€” πŸ‘ 132    πŸ” 45    πŸ’¬ 12    πŸ“Œ 2

so the podcast that Platner went on as a guest last month and called himself a β€œlongtime fan” of isn’t just antisemitic, it’s also full of anti-Black racism and promoted the racist and xenophobic GOP attacks on Somali immigrants in Minneapolis?

02.03.2026 00:31 β€” πŸ‘ 457    πŸ” 193    πŸ’¬ 10    πŸ“Œ 14

As someone who has long been quite critical of Israel, it’s getting really tiring hearing people say obscenely antisemitic shit and responding to outrage with β€œcriticism of Israel is ok.” Like how about prove you’re capable of even a single complex thought before saying anything about anything?

When they ignore that Trump loses 90%+ of the fights he starts.

When they bleat about the magical powers of codification against SCOTUS.

When they forget Dems have gotten more discharge petitions through this Congress than in all of history, combined.

02.03.2026 00:18 β€” πŸ‘ 47    πŸ” 18    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

When people spread the lie that Republicans are strong and Democrats are weak, they knowingly spread Republican propaganda.

When they claim Dems never stopped McConnell.

When they claim McConnell always blocked Dems.

When they lie about Obama’s β€œsupermajority.”

When they claim Dems always lose.

02.03.2026 00:18 β€” πŸ‘ 71    πŸ” 37    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 3

So Graham Cracker went on a show that 1. smeared Somalis, you know likely the largest single ethnic minority in the state of Maine
and 2. spread the conspiracy theory that lead to the full on ICE/CBP invasion of Minneapolis

was he a "fan" of that episode?

01.03.2026 22:54 β€” πŸ‘ 72    πŸ” 24    πŸ’¬ 3    πŸ“Œ 1

Protest GOP offices? Start strategic boycotts? Volunteer for Dem campaigns in your area?

Literally anything but this because this tactic is dumb. You're yelling at the only party that is trying to help.

Western leftists living in a corporate media environment that severely tilts right have developed an obsession about crafting the perfect message, which is supposed to hack the system and compensate for the other side having a huge propaganda machine.

Not entirely sure what "mainstream Dems" is referring to in this post, but to the extent it's referring to Dem politicians, it's not accurate. Even with the atmosphere just a year after 9/11, a majority of Congressional Dems voted against the Iraq war authorization. Cite below.
