We’ll be constructing a 15ft tall two dimensional #ElonMusk head with a speech bubble reading, “I torture monkeys” by taping hundreds of letter size prints together onto repurposed political yard signs & also making some placards & banners.

This meetup presentation will cover the basics of risk assessment and some of the steps we can take to improve our individual & community resilience in the face of political instability, climate catastrophe, & natural disasters.

We hosted our weekly Saturday morning meetup. We heard from panelist who led us on the journey from the time were went from activists being prosecuted with felonies for the investigation of Ridglan “Farms” & rescue of 3 suffering beagles to Ridglan facing criminal charges for animal cruelty.

#DonaldTrump recently made a bizarre claim, blaming the delta smelt for the wildfires ravaging LA. But let’s be clear: this claim is baseless. Let’s focus on the solutions to extreme weather such as ending factory farming & coexistimg with animals. #EndSpeciesism

At this Meetup we will have a panel with Rebekah who is the president of Dane4Dogs and led efforts locally to shut down Ridglan, Taj who is on the legal team, and Scotty who was an undercover investigator. The panel will be moderated by Paul, who was a defendant and investigator of Ridglan Farms.

This ruling comes after months of litigation to ask that the Dane County Court appoint a special prosector to investigate and prosecute Ridglan Farms, a factory farm that breeds beagles for experimentation.

A judge in Dane County found "that there is probable cause to believe that Ridglan has committed crimes under Wisconsin’s animal cruelty laws, & the district attorney has failed to issue a complaint or an investigation into Ridglan’s conduct"
