It was a short morning turn to Boston and back, where winds were a mess both ways and even resulting in a botched approach. We sent everyone over to KiraColada after we somehow got the good old Boeing 747-400 back to New York.

Although now that I think about it, I don't think this was your first time getting called out by Nintendo on something.

I didn't have an issue getting through Taipei security, either. The only reason it took me so long to get through security once I got to the airport was my parents wanted to get breakfast before I went in, so that took up at least half an hour. So $113 for a McChicken.

I was only on the bullet train once from Osaka to Kyoto on a week long bus tour back in 2006. Bus dropped us off, then hightailed it to Kyoto. We were on the train 15 minutes later, but had to wait another half hour for the bus to get there, as the train ride was only 15 minutes.

I can't say I had an issue with the check-in process during my last trip, but then again, I got to the airport and went straight through security since I didn't have any bags to check. TSA Pre-check also helped.

When you pass another train, the other train is gone in literally three seconds.

Yeah, that could be any number of things. If somebody calls in fatigued, the flight isn't going.

Yeah, no idea how that happens. I don't know if United has any maintenance out there or if they need to go to another airline for parts.

That's rough, but chances are in the time it took for them to try to resolve the issue, the crew timed out. Their duty time would have been running at that point, so they would have had to start their crew rest all over again, and I doubt they have spare crew sitting around ready to go in Japan.
