@p1podcast.bsky.social Splashing Sprint. Sumbitch, that's a hellish level. @whimsicalphil.bsky.social is right on the strategy for getting the duck to create a reliable path. Hover and squirt the duck. I found the reliable pathing fell apart on little jumps.

@p1podcast.bsky.social I agree with @superpac.bsky.social on The Plucky Squire being geared toward youngsters. I think they were trying to ride that line of something parents can enjoy while their kids play a videogame. Overall, I enjoyed the game enough to get the platinum trophy

I complained to a couple pals about the level, then finished it on the very next try. I rescued the Loco Roco bot before I left for work today. I get to finish that galaxy when I get home tonight. Love this game so much!

I'm not sure I've found that bot yet. Unless I have and it didn't register...

@whimsicalphil.bsky.social the Astro Bot character you were puzzled by; was it a bot that might have been more at home if the game were a tribute to Capcom's history? That was my head scratcher.

How is Astro Bot one of the cutest games ever made? Ok, not my real question. My real question is "You get to make your own platformer game. What games influence your design choices?" I imagine Phil would work some Gianna Sisters into his game, for example.

Oh yeah! Not that weird (at least not to me). Also I had that kind of investment in the rivalry between Kerry and Florence. One of my favorite moments was the food truck, though.

There's metal band called Skeptic who play with an organ in lieu of bass. It's heavy as hell.

I had to replace the handle on our screen door. The new latch was a bit shy of the catch, so I made one shim thicker by wrapping it in foil and made a second shim out of cardboard and gorilla tape. I bet my dearly departed dad is looking up at me with pride for my Appalachian improvisation.

On 18 March 2018, I released The Raven Mocker under the name The Plague Physicians. At 42, after releasing In Arkham’s Shadow, The band felt like my creative home. It's the truest form of my musical expression. The Plaguey Bois will be on my left forever now. Couldn't have asked for a better piece.
