Heart shaped appliqué made from scraps of red, brown, white, and black fabric. It is stitched together using white thread with small stitches across the entire piece in horizontal rows.

Making patchwork appliqués for the jacket of my White Rabbit build. I’m going to have at least 9. This is how the first one turned out! May add more details to the appliqués later.

Finally made my account, introduction post time! I’ve been cosplaying since 2007. I used to compete, didn’t like how things were run so after running cosplay chess for six years I took on a role as a cosplay director, and became the positive change I wanted to see in the world.

Everything turned out the same shade of pale yellow! (Despite being dyed in different batches. 😂) Not bad for my second time around!

Also introduction workshops. Intro to beadwork, intro to embroidery, intro to wig care, etc. Hands on workshops that allow people to follow along with the panel. I love workshops and wish people would do them more often!

Research (and how to find resources) for cosplay! How to effectively do research intended for costumes you are planning (be it research on textiles, historical inspiration, etc.).

Sorted through all of the fabrics I’ve thrifted for my White Rabbit build. I’ve been thrifting these since last January, and I haven’t even spent 50$ total on fabric for this build. I’m going to fill in some color gaps, but laying them out definitely helped me plan!
