Even so, it was still harder. Wii morph ball is a lot more maneuverable, and I'm pretty sure difficulty doesn't affect drops so it still gives you more health. Veteran on wii is still a struggle but it could have been worse lol

On GameCube it was FAR worse. Trust me, Trilogy made it substantially easier. Health drops are more generous and they toned down the damage you take from it significantly. Similar changes were made to the Spider Guardian.

A charged dark beam shot has a similar effect. Won't freeze outright, but it will slow things down to the point where they might as well be ;)

Why is damn near every metroidvania published by limited run?

Limited run = physical copy exists = bought out by scalpers = people who care about physical forced to resort to scalpers = less sales directly to the developers

Fuck this company. They are actively hurting the industry as a whole.

They're not *hard* to deal with, they just have an absurd amount of HP. It's not unheard of to take 3 minutes to kill two of them

I love Echoes wholeheartedly but some of its common enemies are way stronger than they needed to be

I really want someone somewhere to make homebrew games for ROB, it's a shame such a cool idea only has 2 games (and one of them is extremely expensive)

If someone made that, put it on a cart, and 3D printed ROB parts for him to interact with to play the game, I'd buy that in a heartbeat.

A $35 game should not be going for hundreds used just because the publisher refuses to print more batches. They COULD be earning more from consumers. They COULD be making more for developers instead of scalpers. But no. They actively choose this toxic business model for no good reason.

Fuck LRG.

If they truly cared about media preservation as much as they claim, they would print larger quantities and restock things that are in high demand. I'm so sick of this artificial scarcity bullshit. If there is clear demand for a product, they lose NOTHING by producing more of it.

I can't put into words how much I despise Limited Run.

All they do is make me less likely to support small devs by forcing me to resort to scalpers if I want a physical copy of a game. If a physical exists at all, I'm less likely to buy it digitally, which just hurts the developers.

I need the entire metroidvania genre injected directly into my bloodstream posthaste

Beat Circle of the Moon! Honestly super fun game. Gets very grindy if you want 100% (which I'm still working on) but it's a blast from start to finish.

Sometimes I wish I was a woman (or at least trans) solely because it feels like when it comes to small content creators, female ones seem to get exponentially more attention and exposure

I am gender fluid, maybe it's time to lean into that. I need girl me art... and maybe a vtuber model T-T
