A colleague has written this, which I think nicely sums up some of the reasons I have mixed feelings about the #AssistedDying bill.

I would highly recommend being a member, you meet some amazing people and get to see things from the other side.

After 11 years I have stepped down from the Research Ethics Committee. I was lucky to be part of an exceptional committee, both as a member and more recently as Alternate Vice Chair. We were able to review a huge variety of studies, from CTIMPS to Qualitative research, and everything in between.
