I adapted an existing magnet mount head unit accessory from Icom to stick it to some Home Depot L-brackets I stuck in the cubby hole.

I really liked the look of the front panel of the 2730B (“Black Edition”) with the reversed dark-mode style screen. Tucks subtly under the center stack.

Finally finished the mobile 2-way radio install in my 4Runner! I procrastinated too much on disassembling the entire center/dash console to hide the wires, but it was actually really easy to snap apart and back together!

I started looking into this and I haven’t used TreasuryDirect since I cashed in some savings bonds like 10 years ago. All of my verification contact info (address, phone, email, bank account, drivers license) from that time is old and not accessible. Guess I’ll have to call and…ugh…talk to someone.

Bleh, my online high-yield saving account had its interest rate drop again. Maybe I should just YOLO it and put my entire savings into index funds? 🤑 (It’s roughly 25% invested and 75% HYSA right now)

Couple year old gaming PC is starting to feel a little old. 8th Gen i7 w/ RTX 3070. Thought about trying to upgrade it, but realized the two games I've been playing a lot of lately (WoW and ESO) both run on Mac 10x better on my MBP M3 Max than the PC. Maybe I need a dock and to just go full Apple.
