Food Safety Myths
Myth: The last meal I ate is what caused my foodborne illness (food poisoning).
It's a myth, Charlie Brown. You CAN put hot food in the refrigerator.
Divide large amounts into smaller portions and get them in within 2 hours. Bacteria can grow rapidly on food left out at room temp for +2 hours.

CPOs and Candida auris, I should add, are both reportable in California since 2022. These drug resistant pathogens are relatively new on the scene, but have exploded in numbers in the last decade. This dashboard goes back to 2013, when the very first NDM-producing organisms were reported

YouTube video by Jonathan Howard
Makary, Prasad, and Zdogg behave like children and mock people who wanted a valuable booster 12/2021
Hereโs how our medical establishment has discussed boosters for years. This was made after an RCT of booster dose 1, which showed the vaccine worked, and right before the omicron wave.
Behold the seriousness, thoughtfulness, and maturity.

Part 2 of raw milk! Today we get into the alleged health claims we've all seen circulating our social media feeds and contrast the (lack of) data to support these claims with the very real data on the risks of raw milk. If you've been searching for a deep dive, oh wow, you are going to love this.

Robert F. Kennedy Jr will require all new vaccines to undergo placebo testing, WaPo reports
U.S. Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr intends to shift the way vaccines are tested, The Washington Post reported on Wednesday, citing a spokesperson from the HHS.
Just to be clear, this is a violation of the fundamental ethical principle in clinical trial design called "equipoise."
Equipoise means that no-one is exposed to excess risk just to test the therapy. That's specifically *why* vaccine trials don't use placebo arms.
Ethical violation as POLICY.

Africaโs Outbreak Response Is the Global Standard Now
From outbreak containment to clinical innovation, African nations are setting new global standards for success
Uganda stopped a Sudan Ebola virus outbreak in under 3 months.
No chaos. Just fast action, local leadership, and a rapidly implemented vaccine trial.
Maybe the problem isnโt capacity in Africa after allโmaybe itโs the story we keep telling about it.
