100%. I call having cake for dinner sometimes "invoking grown up privileges" because as a kid not understanding why grown ups never seemed to have cake for dinner, I made myself that promise. (Also: what was wrong with grown ups when I was little?! Why weren't they doing this? Were they hiding it??)

Fantastic cover! He also does a wonderful job as Faust in Randy Newman's Faust (I'm not sure if you know of it), which also came out in 1995. (James Taylor is God!). It's great fun.

My dad got the CD when it came out and loved this song so much he sent me the CD as well (different continents). "You gotta hear it!" When it arrived, he got me to phone up and put it on so we could listen together, and then talk about it. You're the only other person I've ever heard mention it!

It was designed that way! My class toured their offices in 1986, and were told it was designed to be like TV. Colour printing, soundbytes & short formats, even the boxes in the street were supposed to look like tvs, to be "approachable" and simplified to attract a readership that mostly relies on TV

1.) Intends for the Trumps to be the de-facto royal family of the US, thus securing Greenland for the US,

OR

2.) Intends for the Trumps -- not the US -- to own Greenland.

I felt like they were trying to put things back onto a fluffier track, sway the conversation away from the serious message, but he fielded it perfectly, like a gentleman, and then got right back to delivering the message that people really need to hear. That's a wonderful, earnest human being.

Really excellent, spot-on, thank you for sharing it. I don't think many people realise that the "de-dollarisation" is happening pretty steadily -- quite a few nations around the world now trading in RMB (Chinese Yuan) instead. Not just a replacement for "Petrodollars", but for wider trade also.

Years ago, we randomly turned up at this farm on (what happened to be) Easter Day. The owner kindly took us around and showed us the goats, milking, pasteurisation & storage areas, etc. It was clean and the goats were well looked after. I kept goats after that (not on that scale), it encouraged me.

I was very isolated growing up. Poets, philosophers, authors, musicians were my best, and most reliable friends -- it didn't matter if they were alive or dead, in this time, 200 or 2000 years ago. I lived with them, and they live with me. That really saved me. I'm glad to see you express it, too.
