After this session, I drove out to Bolinas and wrote songs on a farm for a few days, some of which might end up on the new Hiss record. I know it feels hard out there in the universe, and I appreciate you listening to me blab for a little bit. Music is so helpful.

for me. I also talk a little bit about how I play. I’ve always been partial to small bodied guitars; for instance, almost everything I’ve ever written that I thought had value has been written on a Martin 000, which is what I’m playing here, and what I play live as well.

A couple months ago, while in Northern California, I visited the offices of Acoustic Guitar magazine and played a few songs. Because I was on tour in revisiting the album ‘Bad Debt,’ I played two songs from that record, plus Tim Hardin’s “Shiloh Town” which has always felt like part of that same era

It acts as a reminder: we will grow from this, and so much more splendidly.
