it's an awful grind. but the game is fun so more optimistically, i dont mind it stringing me along for the platinum for now.

i unsubscribed a long time ago, but if I didn't then, today would've sealed the deal.

I'm glad I like this game a ton but holy damn, this is going to be a long grind to Platinum.

Even at your best in online MP, you'd average around 20 tickets per race + whatever little bonus they give you. I was hoping events would alleviate that but this Miku event tomorrow will only net you around 300 if you complete every tier. That's not even enough to buy a horn lmfao

The ticket grind for Sonic Racing CrossWorlds is heinous.

For near-completionist, you'd need around 30,000 tickets to unlock everything the game has to offer. The game only really gives you 15 - 25 tickets per race. lmfao

Imagine me thinking October 2nd was a Tuesday, as in today is totally NOT Ghost of Yotei release day.

Having experienced that harassment firsthand, 100 percent this.

When these individuals target you, it is a terrifying, isolating and long-lasting experience. You hear so much more from a tiny group of cruel, bad faith voices than you do from the many people who are supportive.

Please, be vocal, loud, and unapologetic is your support for people who are targeted.

That sucks.

Sonic Racing CrossWorlds is all about forward momentum. It's fun, it's chaotic, it's exhilarating when it all comes together. I think that's great and might even boost it as a much more approachable game. I respect that.

With friends and online MP, I think it's the better game in that regard too.

All that to say, I am enjoying CrossWorlds a whole lot but the Transformed player in me wanted more of that game's DNA in all its special ways.

So far, the changes in CrossWorld feel like Sega's attempt to separate itself from Sumo. Almost borderline unnecessary at times.

I think there's a lot of spectacle in CrossWorlds but it sometimes feels like a style-over-substance type situation. The tracks *look* great and tap into fandom enough to feel outrageously cool, but track design feels secondary to CrossWorld's intended chaos. For better or worse.

I think, baseline, the driving is great. The flight and boat controls just don't hit those same highs though, and the way Transformed handled boosting was so much better, almost strategic even.

Sonic Racing CrossWorlds is excellent and I think it does so much right, although the purist in me wishes it had committed to Transformed in all its nuanced ways just a bit more.

Fun fact: One of EA's new owners, Affinity Partners (investment group founded by Donald Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner) has a similar logo to fictional Templar-run evil Assassin's Creed gaming company Abstergo Entertainment
