“To avoid further harm, the Judicial Branch can, and should, be fully transparent and take immediate action to protect courthouse access for all Minnesotans.”

“The pervasive fear throughout our community because of federal agent behavior is negatively impacting Hennepin County residents who access services here, victims and witnesses who participate in prosecutions, and our staff,” Moriarty said in a statement.

She pointed out that the commitments made to Hudson came before the detainment of Herrera Berrios.

This is disturbing. The Chief Justice of the MN Supreme Ct met with Homan, worked out an agreement, and never announced it publicly. ICE appeared to violate it days later by violently tackling a person in the Gov Center w/out a judicial warrant. We need transparency.

Moriarty: State ‘in good shape’ to consider charging federal agents in slayings of Good, Pretti The Hennepin County Attorney’s Office continues to pursue federal evidence that is being kept from state investigators, but Mary Moriarty said there’s “no mystery” about how Renee Good and Alex Pretti died.

Hennepin County Attorney Mary Moriarty said state prosecutors and law enforcement have gathered enough evidence to consider charging decisions against the federal agents who shot and killed Renee Good and Alex Pretti.

This morning we held a press conference to update the public about the legal proceedings related to the shootings of Alex Pretti and Julio Sosa-Celis.

Trump administration formally denies Minnesota access to Alex Pretti evidence Drew Evans, head of the state’s investigative agency, said the FBI once again refused access to evidence and information from the killing of Pretti at the hands of federal officers.

"Mary Moriarty said in a statement Monday that the federal government’s refusal to cooperate shows it is 'not confident in their agents’ actions or their immediate response."
