SCREEN ACT: -full age verification. (biometric scans, ID uploads, background checks) -Deeply unsafe for personal and data privacy. Security/data breaches are rampant, and uploading so much sensitive data to every single we site is just asking for mass ID theft. -id verification is much, much harder on small websites than larger ones, creating a chilling effect and stifling speech for anyone that isnt a massive corporation -draw comparison to UK's OSA [online safety act] and the backlash it is receiving

KOSA: -creates "duty of care,” meaning that tech companies and platform giants would be required to take steps to prevent potentially harmful encounters, such as posts about eating disorders and instances of online bullying, from impacting minors. -who gets to decide what is or is not "unsafe for minors"? Especially under the current administration -it will block access to important info minors could use to keep themselves safe or advocate for themselves. Ex: sex ed. -the vague nature of the bill will almost certainly be used to target LGBT content under the guise of "protecting children"

I had to scrap everything movement and collisioj related and restart four times for Witchy Tower.
It sucks, but it's part of the process. Keep it up, you'll get it eventually.

The next step is to turn this into a mechanic and pretend that it was all intentional.

Oh yeah, I got that. It just spoke to my heart, since I was going back and forth a lot on whether or not I should put them in, but in the end I was overwhelmed enough by getting a game on Steam on the first place.
That's the other thing: You can remaster, improve and rerelease to add more stuff.

Setting up achievements is also a whole additional beast, so I wouldn't feel compelled to do it right away. I didn't add them to Bondage Mermaids because of the effort, and I'm still on the fence for Witchy Tower, but if I ever do a BM remaster, I'll 100% add them.

I've grown kind of annoyed with how the default for TTRPGs seems to be to advertise themselves as rules light nowadays. It feels like "Don't worry, this isn't one of those smelly nerd games!"
Having rules isn't the issue, having obtuse and dysfunctional ones is and DnD trained people to expect those

Finished the sprites for another playable character. Only two more to go, but for now it's time to cycle back to doing some tweaks and improvements.

Made a jar of dirt. That sempervivum (?) I picked up on the roadside probably isn't going to make it because it's way too moist, but I want to see what happens.
Tried getting a peperomia or fittonia instead of just random moss, but no dice. We'll see if this works out.
