It wasn't really. It was loads more fun than just knitting in one colour which I find very tedious.

It's my eyes I can't see much on websites. It said post was free to france and Monaco which mightily confused me.

No idea what a bacon rack is but I've used pans, grills, the oven and an air fryer. The air fryer was best, but I just want the bacon we had in the 60s which cooked without any special equipment and tasted excellent.

I'll have to check it out when I can see properly. As far as I can see they don't post to the uk but that's probably my eyes.

But even the streaky bacon I buy has a sogginess to it. Just watched someone cook streaky where just fat came out, it didn't shrivel up and was nicely crisp.

They look delicious, haven't had a proper doughnut in years. Hope you enjoy them.

I watch a lot of food videos and one thing I really envy from the US is their bacon, which cooks like I remember when I was a kid.

I've tried some dry cured bacon from the supermarket but it lacks flavour.

Any suggestions for good tasty crunchy bacon like we had in the 60s?

I loved doing the crossed over dropped stitch bit but the long threads are caught too easily.

I just did a whip stitch but it was a pain trying to stitch where the holes are, next time I knit it I'll do 2 stocking stitch up each edge so there's a decent strip on each side to sew together.

I've finished the jumper. I loved knitting the blue holey stitch on the front but I've already caught one of the long threads so might not do that stitch so big next time 🧶

Good point. I'm such a beginner that all my fabric is cheap otherwise I'd be too scared to cut into it.

I've several Style Arc patterns I'm itching to try out once my eyes are sorted. I want to create a set of 5 or 6 patterns that work for me, it'll make sewing so much quicker.

You must be a very dedicated gardener as that's such a short growing season.

I tend to be obsessed by the crafts listings and can't resist cheap wool or fabric.

I don't buy clothes as often but recently got some excellent bras for £4 each and they're perfect.

Trouble is I'm so bored because my eyes are so poor at the moment, I'm shopping far too much.
