they're not really backpedalling as much as explaining stuff they kept vague because it brought panic. they have a system, same system they've used for a long time to determine account ages, now they're using the same thing for the age verification, most people won't have to verify at all.

Having gone and read the amendment, some clarification here:

- This isn't law, it's a proposed amendment on the table
- Section 67E.1.c states the involved actors must seem real, so your cartoon/furry porn is fine
- What this does primarily target is human actors (OF, SubStar) and "AI" generations
