I think we are about to see one of the hardest years for Towers in its history. Even harder then 2015.
And with Universal around the corner, where will this leave Merlin when they eventually arrive?

This change now means that Merlin will have outsourced their Food and Beverage, Games, Theming, and Entertainment. Genuine question, what does that give them to put to their name moving forward? Because anything else they add won't be made by Merlin anymore. Its a joke.

Years of cooperate greed and bad decisions have culminated into this mess. Seeing a place I love so much going through this harsh change at the click of a finger is heart-breaking.

I'm gutted for every single person who lost their job due to the Merlin cuts. I'm both disappointed and angry. Not at Alton Towers, not Merlin. Who for years have let things get to this point. I also feel sorry for Bianca, as entertainment was a huge part of her plan for Towers.

(1/?) With the Pirate Takeover now over, that's it for 3/4 of the Entertainment Team at Alton Towers. Before I go further, I just wanted to say thank you for the years of dedication they put in. Things like the Fireworks and Scarefest would not have been possible without you.

I love how how PBR are trying to move forward instead of attempting to do the same thing over and over again. I'm really hoping this puts the park in a better place.
Also, I CAN'T WAIT for Launch Pad! I loved Ice Blast, so an even more powerful launch will amplify it!

I love the transparency in this post. I'm not going to lie, I am gutted about Sky Force as I actually really liked it (I could really get it spinning). This makes the future at Pleasure Beach sound really positive.

Well Oakwood confirmed they are dismantling Drenched. Although I never got to do it, I’m sad because it’s a huge ride gone at an already struggling park. I really hope Oakwood can recover.

I can't wait till Universal opens their Park in Bedfordshire, and steam roles Merlin because of their lack of quality entertainment and atmosphere.

And for what? To please share holders? Its not as though Merlin aren't making hand over fist already! The management at Merlin (including the parks), at the moment amazes me.

The mass redundancies within the Entertainment Teams at Merlin is disgusting. These are peoples Jobs, peoples lively hoods.
Not to mention that entertainment is an essential part of the theme park experience.

Olympia Looping is such a fascinating coaster to me! The fact a coaster of this size travels the distances it does amazes me…
Also, THEM TRAINS! I love how classic they look. They sure don’t make them like they use to!

I love how XDefiant couldn't last 6 months. Compare that to The Finals where they are celebrating their 1st Birthday and still going strong!
XDefiant did nothing new for me, and that's why I stopped playing very quickly after launch.
