35mm of rain overnight (over an inch and a half). Expecting to hear of a lot of flooding locally.
The bulk of the rain has now cleared, the threat of showers remains.

I've finally decided to move my website out of the 1990s and into the 21st Century.
The new site is still being tweaked, but you can take a look here: www.bhweather.com/new
November so far- mean temp 13.5c. This is 0.7c up on the average temp for OCTOBER, and 4.2c up on the average November.
When we do eventually get some colder weather, my goodness we're going to feel it !
Looks like I'm finally done with X.
All 3 of my accounts suspended overnight for alleged "inauthentic behaviour".
Appears that anyone using a 3rd party version of Tweetdeck are getting hit in this way.
Putting things in context, more rain fell overnight than during the entire period between June 8th and Bank Holiday Monday.

Very wet overnight with 42mm falling in around 4 hours, 24mm of which fell in the hour betewen 5 and 6am.
Would expect to see reports of flash flooding and Bournemouth Gardens almost certainly will have done.
yesterdays max temp was 27.9c.
This morning we started off 5c warmer than y'day and at 10am local we've almost reached y'day's max. Wind still from the east, so how high we get depends on any sea breeze developing.
30c could be on the cards. 28.8 (1 July) is the hottest so far.
Just to add - it looks like last night (min 19.8c) was the warmest June night this century.. have looked through my records and cannot find anything warmer

Temperature briefly topped 25c a couple of hours ago, but the heat is now being pushed away, as Atlantic weather arrives which will be with us for the next few days. Risk of showers this afternoon showing on radar.
Changeable rather than unsettled for the foreseeable (~ 5 days+)
Yesterday was the hottest day of the year so far - max was 26.6c (just shy of the old 80f mark which is 26.7c)
A very warm night, min 19.8c, so not quite a "tropical night" which is an overnight min of 20c or greater.
Think it's been unusually dry in recent weeks? You'd be right!
Just 13.8mm recorded here since 26th Feb. We would normally expect ~80-85mm in that time.
Sadly, true to form, BH Friday could see around 15mm fall amid low temps.
Sometimes the weather can be just plain spiteful.
Max temp today 17,3c, equal warmest day of the year as the 10th also reached 17.3c
Feels coller in the breeze though, with dewpoints being low it has a bit of a bite to it.
Extremely dry month so far, 0.8mm mostly from dew or frost deposits.
This. Also didnt commit a single foul.

05.03.2025 09:49 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 2 📌 0That would not be difficult. 5°c in pish here.

Barely 5c and drizzle outside.
A couple of words come to mind looking outside today - "Dreich" and "pish" !
Never mind any snow.. here it has been very wet and eventually very mild with temp now 12.1°c.
33mm of rain since 6pm last evening - at least the worst of the rain has now cleared.
First air frost of the season here - minimum -0.9c.
Colder out in the sticks - Hurn at -5c
Rainfall in 2024 ended up at 1055.2mm - a relatively dry last 11 days meant that in the end we only just beat the previous wettest year this century (2023).
The annual mean here is 788mm, so 134% of the annual mean here.
can you please quit tagging every PL club in your posts unless it's relevant to a particular club?
Fed up with users clogging up the AFCB timeline with irrelevant stuff. Thank you.
Today's rain takes the annual total to 1050.8mm, 2nd highest this century above the infamous 2014.
Only 2.4mm to go to take top spot off last year which ended at 1053.2mm.
Looks certain to be passed tomorrow when the next low comes in.
Cheers!

Over the weekend, 2024's rainfall passed the 1000mm mark. Only the third year this century to do so (the others being last year, and 2014.
Current year total is 1020.6mm and it is likely that we will beat last years century-high 1053.2mm.
Yearly average is 787mm.
