But then also you have the flip-side, where someone making ANY amount more than you is the wealthy bourgeoisie. "Oh, they have a nice Beemer. Means they're the evil capitalists!" We need to realize that that's not true and swallow that envy enough to have class solidarity.

Even though the gap between someone making $300k/year and someone worth a billion is SO MUCH LARGER Than that between someone making $30 and $300k. But those making $300k want to FEEL extra wealthy, so they just fall for it.

And then the second piece is what I call, "reaching down." Billionaires reaching out to folks making a decent 6-figure salary, saying, "Hey, you and I... we gotta stick together, us wealthy people! Can't let those poor, sub-six-figure chumps take OUR money!"

Money really does cause mental illness. People think I'm joking or w/e, but no. Even the CONCEPT of money does. "If and when I become absurdly rich from winning the lottery, I wouldn't want these POORS taking any of MY money!" says man working 3 jobs, living paycheck-to-paycheck. It's SCARY.

See also the viewership on those evergreen, "How to invest when you win the lottery" articles that pop up every time the Mega Millions jackpot gets up there. Hope is a dangerous drug.

Hope/delusion fueled by the wealthy pushing rags-to-riches narratives. "This is the land of opportunity! ANYONE can strike it rich with one great idea! One day, when I'm a billionaire, I wouldn't want them taxing ME!" You let a couple into the club every year and say, "This could be you next time!"

Oh yeah, I wasn't being hyperbolic when I said they are seriously mentally ill, and their environment only exacerbates that.

Next steps are the same as they would be for anyone suffering from a mental illness that causes them to be a danger to themselves and others: Involuntary commitment. So they can get the help they need at a proper psychiatric institution while no longer having the means to harm themselves and others.

At some point, I hope we collectively realize as a society that the absurdly wealthy are suffering from a serious mental illness that manifests in blind, aimless wealth boarding, and therefore don't have the mental clarity necessary to make high-impact decisions. Then we can talk next steps.

Yet another thing I love about the Internet: You an look up ANY RECIPE FOR ANYTHING EVER and just... make it. Why eat boring shit when you can spend the same amount of money (or less) than you do on takeout and cook something DANK?

That's what I KEEP SAYING. THEY want to call it "content" because to them, anything that gets eyeballs on screen long enough to be fed some adverts is all the same. They don't care if it's slop or something made with love and passion -- but YOU should. Respect your craft and your time, and yourself.
