I recently took a community college business class and was shocked by how shoddy it was. The multiple choice homework quizzes didn't match up with the textbook and had glaring typos.

I've realized that a lot of the denigration of college ("You don't need it. The internet is free!") is just a way to market a product. This is just like the parade of internet business gurus telling you that college is a scam and you should buy their dropshipping course instead.

This is what drives me the most mad. You could just go play an endless number of visual novels or read erotica fan fiction or god forbid ERP with another living breathing human being.

Pinned Threads post by a “writer” named Whitney which appears to actually be an AI bot profile attempting to sell creative writers on AI as something that can drive our passions. Whitney is an AI-generated image of a conventionally pretty Black woman with long, wavy hair.

I find it so interesting that they decided to model the AI-generated picture for this AI-generated profile that does nothing but evangelize about AI after a woman of color. There is something deeply sinister about that
