So going to update the base design as well and contribute those changes back to Perkka's repo (2/2)

24.02.2026 22:30 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Ran into a slight snag with the EPSM stuff that caused me to put it aside. The beautiful connectors from @Time2Retro don't fit. Now Perkka made the EPSM before the connectors were available and the spacing ended up being off. (1/2)
24.02.2026 22:30 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0So I had been trying to get a friend of mine to paint one of these for years, and now I have a NES colored Disk Drive!

I'm looking forward to trying it out. Should be interesting for preservation. Check out his video. which goes in more detail. His store is linked in the video description as well. Early days for this project. (2/2)

Visited a friend's computer store and found out he has a new product and open source project launching. Introducing the ATAboy by JJ at obsoletetech. An IDE to USB adapter specifically for early IDE CHS drives. (1/2)
23.02.2026 17:02 β π 5 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0So my Prusa MK3s has served me well for a long time, but it now needs some work on the hotend. So I went ahead and spotted a used Prusa MK4s and so far I'm pretty thrilled. Living on my kitchen counter for now because not sure where to put it.
29.01.2026 22:30 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Ah much better. It's starting to look like a real thing. Now we need some real testing.
29.01.2026 17:01 β π 5 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Had an outage with the site that's solved now and decided to do some other maintenance stuff while we were at it. Site is back up now.
28.01.2026 23:11 β π 4 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Back up decided to do some other maintenance at the same time to get it out of the way.
28.01.2026 23:09 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Yup digging into it now.
28.01.2026 20:58 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0My good friend @pointerfunction sent some PAL hardware extras he had. I'm just opening it now even though I received it in September. I was in the process of moving and decided this box was already packed so just moved it along. Particularly excited for a PAL NES to test with.
27.01.2026 22:30 β π 5 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Decided to test the EPSMPlus with the enclosure and stumbled upon some fitment issues. The big problem is the middle channel is too wide due to constraining against the wrong spots. Should be an easy fix. Second is the hole for the audio jack isn't big enough.
27.01.2026 17:04 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0So originally Yoei was going to do this. Then I was going to pick it up but it's extremely unlikely at this point. This project was always going to be a stretch to get done but with the current environment and my situation it doesn't make any sense.
27.01.2026 07:22 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Next up planning to go through the ESPM stock and do little fixes. If I remember right most of them has connectors that were too tight. When I was making my own connectors the rule was if it was hard for me to pull the pcb out with my fingers then it was too tight and it went into a pile.
26.01.2026 17:01 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0So all those renders were made since July I think. I actually managed to order almost everything a couple months ago. Sadly I seemed to forget the new wireless module (remembered the lid though).
25.01.2026 22:30 β π 4 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0As well as the NES Hub version. (3/3) www.muramasaentertainment.com/product/mura...
25.01.2026 17:02 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Also have a few cable versions back in stock. (2/3) www.muramasaentertainment.com/product/mura...

I have a small batch of Muramasa Disk System Cartridges with the NES Expansion bridge back in stock. Will probably take a bit to make more after this. (1/3)

Although funny enough the @blueshell3d.com solution seems like it might be better. (2/2)

Something I did on a whim. A board to make a NES Game Genie from original parts but fits in the same cut shell as my Extended Famicom Converter and NESTender. Basically made for me to prevent from damaging things like the slotmaster and nintendrawer. (1/2)
24.01.2026 22:30 β π 9 π 1 π¬ 1 π 0Here is a quick render of a Blue Retro Module I'm making with my NES Expansion bridge. This current design is built around the idea of using an off the shelf cheap module but not sure how reliable that will be. Still early stages.
24.01.2026 17:00 β π 4 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I finally decided to buy a microscope. My eyes just can't inspect small connections very well any more. So far pretty happy with this one.
23.01.2026 22:30 β π 7 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Have been working hard to get new Muramasa Disk System Cartridges together. Now just have to do adapters of various types.
23.01.2026 17:01 β π 9 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Another module for the NES Expansion Bridge or NES Hub. This takes just the data recorder functionality from the Family Basic Keyboard and puts it in it's own module. Finally able to record Excite Bike tracks. Will probably be interesting to 7 people. (including myself)
22.01.2026 22:30 β π 10 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Forgot the pictures on the original post. π
22.01.2026 18:51 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Had an idea to get all the capability I had planned for the Expansion port in one module so this combines my NES Expansion Bridge and the EPSM. I didn't think it would all fit but it does in this odd shape. Not sure this will be more then a one off since the price will be high.
22.01.2026 18:47 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I'll make more announcements as I figure things out in the mean time I've scheduled a bunch of things I don't think I've shown before. I'll also be catching up on emails. (3/3)
22.01.2026 00:00 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0A lot of my focus going forward will be finishing the many half done projects I have. Some of these projects might be more information or content since I'm not sure if they will work as products. (2/3)
22.01.2026 00:00 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0
I've been quiet for quiet a while. A combination of moving and health issues have kept me unable to work on much and to be honest I was pretty burned out.
I'm finally in the process of trying to restock some things and will be showing off various projects that I have been working on. (1/3)
So the next thing I have to deal with is moving. I'm planning to disable ordering from the site. I'll get those shipped off and work through the last few issues I'm communicating with people on. Likely to be able to turn the site back on in early October.
Thanks
