I respect you zyther, I really do, but I think you’re misunderstanding why we get so passionate about this. Hopefully this cleared some things up
then these big companies are going to do nothing to change the way it’s powered.
That is why people are so insistent on ZERO usage.
Big companies wont listen until they stop making money.
The bottom line is this kind of AI steals from artists and uses massive amounts of energy to the point where it is greatly & negatively impacting our environment.
we do not need to stand for this. I believe ai can be used for good, but right now it is NOT, & if we just sit around and keep using it—
I respect the sentiment of acknowledging that every situation is different, but the rage surrounding AI right now is— and will always be— about the kind that generates content (art, writing, memes things of that nature.)
