The other things you mentioned you can do are great! Anybody giving you $hit for 'not marching' is being a self-righteous A-hole. I've marched a lot but partly just to Feel the Community. It's just one pillar to the entire movement. Boycotts, contacting our reps, helping people register...all good

And yeah, most of my old unit (Army) were fairly left-leaning. It depends on what or where each servicemember was comin from. I'm a pretty crunchy "lefty" who joined to try to make more money for college, and, for many of my friends, I'm just about the only veteran they know.

I spoke to a fellow veteran about this at the July 4 protest in Port Townsend, WA. We vets need to 'represent' and help embolden more of us to voice our disdain for this administration's unconstitutional actions. Public perception of vets tends to be that many are Rightwing. Let's change that.
