The article is interesting but I wonder why fanfic was brought up as it has the exact opposite problem. Many readers in the space prefer 3rd person and refuse to read any story set in the 1st!

i had a great conversation with this reporter and overall feel this is a really balanced piece exploring what might be going on with this shift to "first person or bust" that has taken over romance.

There's too many "classics that everyone has totally seen" for you to get through. You don't need to treat it like a checklist. It's this thing of turning the sum totality of human discussion of media into a "well everyone has clearly seen everything", no that's 100+ different people talking

It's very telling that none of these "online safety" bills are even remotely concerned with the massive spread of gambling throughout society via social media and apps.
